Greg Bloom is the instigator of the Open Referral Initiative, which he began while working at Bread for the City in DC. Previously, he organized Get Out the Vote campaigns, class-action labor lawsuits, municipal budget battles, death penalty abolition, community wireless networks, DiscoTechs, and even a backyard chicken legalization movement. He has been published in In These Times, Civic Quarterly, Personal Democracy Forum, and Code for America's Beyond Transparency.
